Previous Chokyi Dawa Chogtrul Rinpoche was the main master of H.H. 3rd Penor Rinpoche
Chogtrul Rinpoche is one the “heart sons” of H.H. 3rd Pema Norbu Rinpoche and one of the main Palyul tulkus. He was unanimously recognized as the successive reincarnation of previous Chokyi Dawa Chogtrul Rinpoche (1894-1959).
Chogtrul Rinpoche studied at Namdroling Monastery in South India under the guidance of the third Drubwang Pedma Norbu Rinpoche. He also received teachings from other great masters like Dudjom Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Chadral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche, Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche, Thinley Norbu Rinpoche and so on.
